Home Coming Mural, Mount Forest, On. Mural 2017
This “Home Coming Mural” was commissioned by the Mount Forest Home Coming Committee and work started in January of 2017. I decided that creating a tapestry of moments from the towns’ history would create interest for the viewers as they recognized relatives and friends. I was fortunate to have access to the Archives building which has a magazine called “Homer”. This magazine supplied me with many resource photos from which to create this mural.
My goal was realized as many people recognized parents, friends and relatives in the mural reaffirming why I love doing this work.
I want to thank David Griffiths and his class from “Wellington Heights School” for their assistance installing the framework and mural panels. ( pictured here)
This mural is a triptych with two 10x16 foot pieces, one on each side of an 8x12 foot panel.
Victoria Cross Public School 2017
This roughly 4x16 foot mural painted directly on the wall was designed to use more of the existing space. The idea here was to honour the WW1 soldiers awarded the Victoria Cross in Mount Forest and also show some of the diversity of the Canadian military

Hanover, On. Mural 2017
The town of Hanover commissioned me to redo a previous mural that hung in this spot.
I did a little redesigning staying close to the original winning layout from a local artist.
This mural is 8x20 feet and was a lot of fun to paint.
Town of Clifford, On. Mural 2017
The town of “Clifford” commissioned me to paint a second mural with this one commemorating their 2017 Canada Day celebration.
The 8x8 foot mural depicts the Clifford grist mill that played an important part in the history of Clifford.
I decided to paint this mural in sepia tones to promote the sense of age and history. The mill in the foreground depicts the mill when open for business. The background picture is of the mill just before being taken down. The final mural is framed with boards from the original mill.
Included in the website pictures is a photo of previous owners and other local, provincial dignitaries.

This 8x8foot mural was commissioned by Joe and Cheryl Walsh of Walsh’s Pharmacy in Mount Forest to celebrate the Mount Forest Home Coming.
Included in this mural are pictures of previous occupants of the building, John Walshs’ pharmacy in Arthur and a local barn with historical significance.
This design started out as a quilt and grew from there to what you see now. The colours represent the colours of the Mount Forest sports teams.
The Mount Forest Legion Mural completed June 2016.
This project was unique for me. The wall was very long and narrow so I decided to break the elements into multiple frames and create a more interesting layout.
This was a very unique project where the visitors to the plowing match coloured the mural with Sharpie markers. It was a great success and a lot of fun for me.
